Canada to invite 4, 30,000 permanent residents in 2022!

Ontario: There is a good news for aspirants seeking employment and permanent residence (PR) in Canada through Express Entry as there are currently one million jobs in the country.

The high job vacancy rate, combined with the low unemployment rate mentioned by the Labour Force Survey for May 2022, points to a growing labour shortage in many sectors will force the country to invite more immigrants in the coming days, a report said.

In 2022 alone, the country is willing to invite more than 430,000 permanent residents, while in 2024, it aims to make 450,000 invitations.

 

Which cities have the highest number of vacancies?

The Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours showed that 26,000 jobs are no longer on payroll (as of May 2022). And, the highest reduction has been observed in Ontario and Manitoba. According to the report, Ontario currently has 30,000 jobs, while Manitoba has 2,500 vacancies.

Based on the report, the number of employees receiving salaries or benefits from their employer in Canada has decreased for the first time since May 2021.
