Canada to offer up to C$1 billion in new loan to assist Ukraine’s war-torn economy

Ottawa: Canadian minister for International Trade, Export Promotion Mary Ng today spoke with Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and condemned Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion.

She reiterated Canada’s committed to bolster Ukraine’s defence amid ongoing crisis.

She announced that government will provide

up to $1 billion in new loans to Ukraine through the International Monetary Fund.

The Minister also discussed impact of Russia’s invasion on global food security and inflation.

Meanwhile, 12th Ministerial Conference of the WTO would take place in Geneva on June 12 to 15 to discuss these matter meticulously.
