Chandigarh: The International Anti-Khalistani Terrorist Front sought immediate cancellation of the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card of United Kingdom (UK) MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi for his alleged participation in anti-national activities against India.
A memorandum was submitted by the group to the Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala and demanded action against Dhesi and cancellation of OCI to card of the visiting UK MP.
The move came after MP proposed participation in the ‘International Sikh Youth Conference’ organised by the Sikh for Security Foundation at a private institute in Phagwara, on Friday.
The front has also appealed state government to prevent MP’s participation in the function, alleging that Dhesi is associated with pro-Khalistan organisations.
They claimed that it is sheer violation of Visa regulations as carrying an OCI card, he can not take part in political activities in India.
Dhesi had reportedly also took stand against the Centre government over the the Kashmir issue.
