Candidate with 12 voters in family gets just 1 vote, his own

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a candidate from Gujarat’s Vapi district, got only one vote, his own, in the rural local body elections.

Candidate Santosh was heartbroken as none of from his family, of twelve members voted for him.

He contested for the post of Sarpanch in Vapi district’s Chharwala village and was disheartened when the results were out on counting day today.

He broke down near the counting centre and said that he expected that at least his family, which had a total of 12 voters, would vote in his favour, the video of the incident has gone viral on the social media.
