Centre gives green signal to Arms Systems Branch for officers in IAF: Air Chief Marshal

Chandigarh: On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Indian Air Force, a ceremonial parade was held at the Air Force Station here this morning.

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, chief of the Air Staff, inspected the parade, following which the march past was carried out. Speaking at the event, the IAF chief said the Central government has approved the setting up of an arms systems wing for officers in the Indian Air Force.

He said that for the first time since Independence, a new operational wing is being created in the Air Force. He said that with the formation of this branch, the government will save more than Rs 3,400 crore by cutting the cost of flight training.
