Chandigarh violence: Police releases photos of attackers, Reward of Rs 10k for information

Chandigarh: Photographs of protesters, who attacked the police during a protest seeking release of Sikhs prisoners at the Chandigarh-Mohali border on February 8, have been released by the police.

Police have released pictures of the attackers and asked people to give information about them. The Sector 36 police had registered a case under sections of attempt to murder and other sections.

Police said that the information of these accused can be given at email firno.63@gmail.com or on WhatsApp number 98759-84001. At the same time, the police have said that a reward of Rs 10, 000 will also be given to the person who gives information. The information of the informant will be kept completely confidential.

Police have released photos of 10 attackers. Three of them have been identified as Hardeep Singh Brar, Harmandeep Singh Toofan and Satwant Singh Sandhu of Ludhiana.

Meanwhile, some Chandigarh police personnel were injured in this violent incident. Several government vehicles were vandalised by the protesters. Many attackers were attacking by hiding their faces and some also came on horses and tractors to attack, police said.
