Chetan Sharma resigns as Chief Selector of Indian cricket team after sting operation

New Delhi: Chetan Sharma, the chief selector of the Indian cricket team, has resigned from his post after a sting operation. In a sting operation, Chetan Sharma made many revelations related to the Indian team and players.

After the controversy, now he has stepped down as the chairman of the selection committee of the Indian men’s cricket team. Chetan Sharma has sent his resignation to BCCI secretary Jay Shah and his resignation has been accepted.

Chetan Sharma made serious revelations in a sting operation of a TV channel on many matters ranging from the relationship of Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly while some players taking drugs injections.

Chetan Sharma had said that the players of the Indian cricket team take injections when they are 80 percent fit and become 100 percent fit. These are not pain killers. These injections contain a drug that is not caught in a dope test. All these players who take injections for fake fitness have doctors outside as well.

Chetan Sharma had also alleged that there were differences between him and the team management over Bumrah’s return from a stress fracture for the T20 series against Australia in September last year.

Bumrah is still out of action and has been ruled out of the four-Test border-Gavaskar series against Australia. He will also not be seen playing in the three-match ODI series between India and Australia.

Chetan Sharma also alleged that there was an ego battle between former captain Kohli and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
