Child Trafficking: 15 children rescued from railway station in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: In a major crackdown against child trafficking, the Ludhiana administration has rescued 15 children below the age of 18 years who were being brought by train from Bihar.

In this, along with the child protection movement, GRP, Ludhiana Police and other departments also contributed. The District Child Protection Officer said that on the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, teams of various departments laid a trap at the railway station and rescued these children.

These children were brought from different districts of Bihar.

At present, after the medical examination of these children, they will be counselled and sent back to their parents.

Sandeep Singh, district project in-charge of the child protection movement, said they received information about bringing children by train on the child helpline.

After which he was investigating with his team from Ambala and 15 children were rescued in Ludhiana. After counselling, these children will be handed over to their parents, police said.
