Comedian Raju Srivastava passes away

New Delhi: Renowned comedian Raju Srivastava passed away at AIIMS here today. This information was given by his brother Deepu Srivastava. Raju Srivastava was admitted to AIIMS Delhi for more than 40 days.

He was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi on August 10 after suffering a heart attack and had been on ventilator since then.

According to hospital sources, Raju Srivastava was declared brought dead at 10.20 am today.

Raju Srivastava, a known face in the entertainment world since 1980, rose to fame with the comedy show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge-2005’. Raju Srivastava also worked in films like “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Baazigar” and “Aazi Aatni Khara Rupaiya”, a remake of “Bombay to Goa”. He was also the chairperson of the Film Development Council of Uttar Pradesh.
