Ottawa: Since last year, there has been a neck-and-neck contest between the Federal Liberals and the Conservatives over the support of voters, revealed the weekly tracking of Nanos Research.
However, a study of data on which party will get more seats in the elections revealed that the Conservatives are having a clear advantage.
If federal elections are held today, the Conservative Party can win 112 seats in the House of Commons. This means the Conservatives are gaining seven seats since Nanos’ last projection in February.
In the meantime, the Liberals are seen getting 96 seats and according to the new data of Nanos, the Liberals are losing 22 seats so far than in February.
Federal elections are unlikely to take place in the near future as a result of the deal between the Liberals and the NDP. But this latest data on seats has revealed that the choice of voters is changing across the country.
Nick Nanos, chair of Nanos Research, said that there is a lot of movement in this regard across the country.
He said that now the support of the Liberals has started to decline. In Quebec, the Bloc Quebecois is receiving good support, and so is the NDP in Ontario.
