Conspiracy hacked to kill Moosewala during a raid in police uniform by gangsters at his house: Police

Chandigarh: The Ludhiana police have booked Darmanjot Singh Kahlon alias Darman Kahlon following a tip-off given by gangsters Mandeep Singh alias Toofan and Mani Raia. Kahlon is believed to be hiding in the US.

He has been named for allegedly supplying weapons to shooters involved in the murder of Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moosewala

Kahlon has been booked in an FIR lodged at Salem Tabri police station in June this year. Toofan and Raia told the police that Darman Kahlon had called them and gangster Goldy Brar had asked them to do so.

The accused also told the police that on the day of the murder, they were put on standby along with another sharpshooter Gurmeet Mita, a sacked police constable who was a national-level javelin thrower. They were told to respond immediately if there was any change in the conspiracy.

Before and after the singer’s murder, Satbir Singh, including Manpreet Singh alias Mani Raian, Mandeep Singh alias Toofan, Gurmeet Mita, were captured on CCTV. Both sharpshooters Manpreet Singh alias Mani Raia, Mandeep Singh alias Toofan are currently in the custody of Ludhiana police on a five-day police remand.
