Faridkot: The Faridkot police today arrested Lawrence Bishnoi and produced him before the court of Judicial Magistrate Ajaypal Singh here in connection with a case of alleged extortion of Rs 50 lakh from a Kotkapura-based businessman. The court sent Bishnoi to two-day police remand.
Earlier in the day, Moga police handed over gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to Faridkot police. The Moga police had arrested Bishnoi and brought him to Moga on August 1 on a production/transit warrant and obtained a 10-day remand from the court to probe the attempt to murder case.
The police remand ended today and the Moga police did not seek any further extension.
