Covid-19 scares before Holi! Cases started coming up three times more in last week

New Delhi: The festival of Holi is to be celebrated on February 8 across the country. But rising cases of Covid-19 in the country has concerned the authorities once again.

According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health, three times more cases have been registered in the last one week.

In the last 24 hours, 324 new cases have been reported in the country. According to the Health Ministry, 95 cases were registered on February 22, after which the cases have been steadily increasing. At the same time, the daily recorded figure was 300 on Friday, which has come down to 324 today.

After these new cases, the number of active cases in the country has increased to 2, 791.

At the same time, the increasing figures of Corona have increased the concern of the government and the people. In the last few days, three people have also died from Corona.

The death toll from this epidemic has now increased to 5.30 lakh. On Friday, two deaths were reported from Maharashtra and one from Kerala.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, 4,46,87,820 people have been hit by Corona so far.

According to the Health Ministry website, 220.63 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive in India. The number of coronavirus cases in India crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 2020 and 40 lakh on September 5, 2020. The total number of infections had crossed the 50-lakh mark on September 16, 2020, 60 lakh on September 28, 2020, 70 lakh on October 11, 2020, 80 lakh on October 29, 2020 and 90 lakh on November 20.
