Washington: The virus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic, which killed seven million people globally, was leaked from a Chinese laboratory, according to a US media report.
This media report, which refers to the Classified Intelligence Report, has recently been provided to the White House and certain members of Congress.
The Hunan market in the central Chinese city of Wuhan was the epicentre of the epidemic. In late 2019, the SARS-CoV-2 virus spread rapidly to other locations in Wuhan. The source of the origin of the pandemic has been the subject of major controversy for academics, intelligence experts and lawmakers.
