New Delhi: After facing backlash from the public over high price for booster shots of Covid-19 become available to all Indian adults, the price of Covishield at private hospitals has been reduced to more than half to Rs 225.
Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla today said that this decision has been taken after discussions with the Centre government.
“We are pleased to announce that after discussion with the Central Government, SII has decided to revise the price of COVISHIELD vaccine for private hospitals from Rs.600 to Rs 225 per dose. We once again commend this decision from the Centre to open precautionary dose to all 18+, ” Poonawalla Tweeted.
