Croatia beat Brazil in penalty shootout, reach semi-finals for second time in a row

New Delhi: In the first quarter-final of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Croatia defeated Brazil 4-2 in a penalty shootout and confirmed its place in the semi-finals. No team was able to score a goal for regular time, but in an extra time of 30 minutes, Neymar scored for Brazil.

A few minutes before the end of the match, Croatia equalized the score by scoring a goal and took the match to the shootout.

Both teams tried to score goals in the first 90 minutes, but none could get a goal. Croatia attacked brilliantly on some occasions and came close to scoring goals, but could not succeed in the final third. For Brazil, Neymar was unable to make his mark and was constantly being tackled before the final third. However, as soon as the match went in extra time, both Neymar and Brazil’s game changed completely and they took the lead in the match.

Croatia also put in full force and equalized the score by scoring a goal a few minutes before the end of the match. Croatia scored two consecutive goals when the match was played in the shootout and missed the first kick from Brazil. Croatia scored consecutive goals, while mistakes were made on behalf of Brazil and they had to face defeat.
