CRPF jawan shoots four colleagues, injured three in Chattisgarh

Sukma: A CRPF personnel killed his four colleagues and injured three after opening fire at them in a camp of the paramilitary force in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Monday.

Those killed were identified as constables Rajmani Kumar Yadav, Rajib Mondal, Dhanji and Dharmendra Kumar, he said, adding that three other injured personnel were being treated at the hospital.

A police official said that the incident took place at around 3:15am on the camp of CRPF 50th battalion at Linganpalli village under Maraiguda police station of the area of the district.

According to information, accused constable Reetesh Ranjan fired at his colleagues with his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle, the official said.

Accused has been held on the spot and further investigation is underway.
