Delhi Ministers to get 136% and 66.67% hike for MLAs in salary, allowances

New Delhi: The salary of Delhi MLAs and ministers has been increased by the Aam Aadmi Party government on Monday.

Now, MLAs will now get Rs 90,000 every month. While the salary of ministers and chief ministers has now gone up to Rs 1.70 lakh per month.

In July 2022, the Delhi Assembly had passed a proposal to increase the salaries of MLAs and ministers. After this proposal got the approval of the President, the Law Department of the Delhi Government has issued a notification of salary hike.

The salary of MLAs has been increased by 66.66 per cent from Rs 54,000 to Rs 90,000. So far, ministers in the government used to get Rs 72,000, but now the salary has been increased by 136.11 percent to Rs 1,70,000.

This is the first hike in salaries and allowances of MLAs and ministers since 2011 by the Delhi government.
