Prayagraj: A case of selling fake blood platelets was reported in Prayagraj in the past and a patient wad died due to this. Now strict action has been taken in this case.
According to the latest information, the hospital in UP involved in the ‘Mousambi Juice’ controversy has received a demolition notice. A notice has been served to a private hospital by the authorities in Prayagraj.
According to the information, the hospital building constructed without permission has been asked to be vacated by Friday. Relatives of the deceased dengue patients have alleged that mousambi juice has been transfused instead of platelets.
A day after the death of the dengue patient, prayagraj police had arrested 10 people running a ‘fake platelets’ gang.
The arrested accused were selling blood plasma as platelets. The private hospital in Prayagraj was sealed by the health department on October 20 after initial investigation, while the Prayagraj Development Authority has now issued a notice to raze the hospital building through bulldozers, calling it illegal.
