Amritsar: A sacrilege attempt inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple in Amritsar reported on Saturday evening during the Rehras Sahib recitation. The person attempted to approach the Guru Granth Sahib and pick the ‘Kirpan’ placed in front of the holy Sikh scripture.
Following this, accused has been pounced by sewadaars and reportedly killed by them on the spot.
The incident is the second of its kind in four days.
