Dinesh Karthik breaks MS Dhoni’s record

New Delhi: In the fourth T20I against South Africa, Dinesh Karthik played a matching inning for which he got a place again in Team India.

Karthik played the role of finisher and contributed a key role in india’s victory, wining the player of the match title.

India batted first and managed to score 169 for 6, during India’s innings Karthik played a key role in taking the team’s score to 169 runs by playing an innings of 55 off 27 balls.

In his innings, Karthik hit 9 fours and 2 sixes. It was only on the basis of Dinesh’s innings that the Indian team reached a good score. India leveled the match-winning series.

Karthik has also first become the Indian batsman to play the biggest innings while batting at the sixth or lower batting position in T20 internationals. Earlier also this record was on Dhoni’s name. Dhoni had scored an unbeaten 52 against South Africa in 2018 while batting at No. 6.
