Chandigarh: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has launched a probe against Bharatinder Singh Chahal, an advisor to former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, in a disproportionate assets case and raided his premises. Vigilance Bureau officials said the vigilance is ascertaining the value of Chahal’s properties.

A complex called Mall Grand Regal, located near the mini secretariat on Chahal’s Jail Road, is being inspected to find out how much money has been spent on it. The vigilance team had earlier also visited the Palace called Alcazar on Sirhind Road, but it was locked.

The team is headed by Vigilance DSP Satpal Sharma. A technical team led by Suresh Kumar has also arrived from Mohali.

Pertinently, Chahal was the advisor to Captain Amarinder Singh during 2017-21. He had joined the BJP in July along with Captain Amarinder.
