New Delhi: A day after miscreants opened fire at his car in Uttar Pradesh, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday turned down the second-highest ‘Z’ security cover by central government and asked them tocharge the “culprits” with stringent provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
During his speech in Lok Sabha, he questioned that who were the attackers and why are they so radicalised that they believed in gun violence. He said that he doesn’t need Z category security as he wants to remain an A category citizen of the country.
Owasi, however, asked the Union government to book miscreants under UALA and lashing out at the Centre, he said BJP government must act now as it is “disproportionately against Muslims”.
