Chandigarh: The state government on Thursday appointed senior advocate DS Patwalia as Punjab Advocate-General.
Atul Nanda has resigned from the post after the stepping down of Capt Amarinder Singh. Following this, Patwalia appointment as the top law officer.
Patwalia has primarily been practising on the Constitutional side and is known for his proficiency in dealing with service matters. He has also been handling criminal matters.
