Eat these fruits rich in vitamin C to increase immunity in summers

New Delhi: Amid rising heat during summer season, immunity becomes quite weak. In such a situation, people should include vitamin C-rich foods in the diet.

Doctors advise that Immunity should be strong to avoid any disease and as it makes the body able to fight diseases. The most important thing to increase immunity is the right diet and vitamin C-rich food. There are many fruits in the summer that are rich in vitamin C.

 

1- Mangoes – Mangoes are called the king of fruits. The flavoured mango also works to increase your immunity. A mango will provide about 122 mg of vitamin C. Apart from this, vitamin A is also found quite a lot in mangoes. Which is good for eye sight. People have this belief that eating mangoes increases weight, but the truth is that mangoes also reduce your weight.

2- Papaya – Papaya is the fruit available in all seasons. Papaya is considered to be the best for digestion. Papaya keeps our stomach fit and also reduces weight. Vitamin C is also found in large amounts in papaya which also increases our immunity. Eating about a cup of papaya gives you 88 mg of nutrients.

3- Strawberries- Strawberries are also a good source of vitamin C. Strawberries are found in considerable amounts of antioxidants, in addition strawberries are rich in vitamin C and many other nutrients. Although it is less available due to being a seasonal fruit, but if you eat a cup of strawberry, it works to give you 100 mg of vitamin C.

4- Pineapple- Pineapple enhances your immunity as well as makes your bones strong. There are many essential minerals and vitamins found in pineapple. Manganese is also found in pineapple which is quite low in fruits. If you eat a cup of pineapple, it gives you about 79 mg of vitamin C. Eating pineple also reduces weight.

5- Kiwi- Another fruit rich in vitamin C is kiwi. Although kiwi is quite an expensive fruit, one kiwi gives you about 85 mg of vitamin C. Apart from this, vitamins K and E are also found in considerable amounts in kiwi. A kiwi is also rich in many more nutrients which are quite beneficial for your health.
