Environment more important than civil rights: Supreme Court

New Delhi: Hearing a matter involving forest, the Supreme Court today observed that the environment “must prevail” over other rights and forests must be preserved.

Apex court while hearing a case involving non-forest land in Haryana, stressed upon need to preserve the forest and nature.

The Court observed that environment is more important than civil rights and it must prevail over all other rights.
