New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Abhishek Boinpalli in connection with the alleged Delhi excise scam. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is an accused in the case. Officials said Abhishek Boynpally allegedly worked for some liquor traders in south India. He was called for questioning on Sunday.
Boinpalli was taken into custody late last night after he was evading answering some questions, the officials said.
This is the second arrest in the case, he said. Earlier, businessman and AAP leader Vijay Nair was arrested. The case pertains to alleged corruption in issuing liquor licences in the national capital.
