Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today accepted the resignation of Dr Raj Bahadur, Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. After a dispute with Punjab Health Minister Chetan Singh Joramajra, vice-chancellor Dr. Raj Bahadur had sent his resignation to the chief minister on July 29.
He was upset over ‘humiliated’ behaviour by the minister during a raid at the hospital when health minister forced him to lay down on a dirty bed. The matter had sparked a political row as opposition sought termination of Jodamajra.
