FarmerRail Roko’ protest: Train traffic on Ferozepur division affected

Chandigarh: On the call given by Samyukt Kisan Morcha for six-hour ‘rail roko’, farmers in Punjab and Haryana squatted on rail tracks on Monday morning.
They have been demanding the dismissal and arrest of Union Minister Ajay Mishra for Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri violence that led to killing of four farmers and a journalist.
SKM is an umbrella body for farmers’ unions spearheading the protest against farm laws since last year and they have given a call for rail roko protest that began at 10am on Monday at 20 places in 11 districts of Punjab.
Agitating farmers, including women, raising slogans against the BJP-led government demanding arrest of union minister at once.
Meanwhile, the protest has crippled the movement of trains in both states and is causing inconvenience to passengers.
