Farmers unions announces to hold indefinite protest against AAP government in Chandigarh today; CM cancels meeting

Chandigarh: The 23 farmer unions of Punjab are marching towards Chandigarh to hold an indefinite protest against Punjab government from Tuesday.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also called off meeting with unions, which was scheduled for today to convince farmers to postpone the protest.

The unions gathered at Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali and now planning to march towards Chandigarh for an indefinite protest here in protest against the paddy sowing schedule announced by the state government, besides 10 other demands. However, heavy police forces have been deployed and many roads were closed by the authorities to stop farmers to enter the Chandigarh.
