Flop show of BJP reflects that Punjabis have rejected BJP and its divisive agenda: CM

Dasuya (Hoshiarpur): Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday said that failure of Wednesday’s rally was a reflection of the fact that wise Punjabis have outrightly rejected the divisive and hatred agenda of BJP.

Addressing the gathering here after laying foundation stone of several developmental works, the Chief Minister said that the fact that only 700 person were present in rally where 70,000 chairs were placed shows mounting resentment in minds of people against the Modi government. He said that the vacant chairs showed mirror to BJP and it’s entire leadership about their failure to gauge public sentiment. CM Channi said that Punjabis have made their mind to teach haughty BJP leaders a lesson in the ensuing assembly polls adding that flop show of BJP was precursor to it.

Chief Minister said that there was no security lapse during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state but PM cancelled the visit in wake of poor presence in BJP’s rally.

However, he said that making last minute change in the program Prime Minister then all of the sudden decided to travel by road. CM Channi said that though the state government had made entire arrangements for this too but keeping in view thin presence of people in rally PM cancelled his visit citing road blockage.

Slamming the Akalis, Chief Minister said that during their decade long rule Akali leaders have plundered the state. He said that the Akalis left no stone unturned to spread the drug trade in state due to which youth lives of youth were ruined. CM Channi said that the Punjabis will never forgive Akalis for these sins.
