Former DGP Mustafa booked for ‘hate speech’

Chandigarh: Punjab police on Sunday booked former DGP Mohammad Mustafa for his purported `hate speech’ against Hindu Community during a rally Malerkotla few days back.

He is advisor to Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife Razia Sultan, who is the Congress candidate from Malerkotla.

Earlier, ECI also issued notice to his viral video and holding poll event in support of his wife without permission.

He, however, refused the allegations and said that his statement was mispresented and said, “I was angry at a group of Muslims who had tried to attack me.
