Four members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested, one absconding in Punjab

Chandigarh: Rupnagar police have managed to nab four gangsters belonging to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, while one of their accomplices managed to escape.

SSP Rupnagar Viveksheel Soni said that on November 26, a team led by Inspector Satnam Singh, in-charge of CIA Rupnagar, led by SP (Detective) Maninderveer Singh and DSP (Detective) Rupnagar Talwinder Singh Gill, nabbed Kuldeep Singh Keri, Kulwinder Singh Tinka, Satvir Singh alias Shammi and Beant Singh with three pistols, 22 cartridges, one kirpan and 12 iron rods.

The accused were preparing to commit a major crime. Kuldeep Singh Kerry, Kulwinder Singh Tinka and Satvir Singh alias Shammi have cases registered against them in the past. The accused had escaped by shooting a man in the thigh. After obtaining the two-day remand of the accused, strict interrogation has been started and more important revelations are expected from them, police said.
