Chandigarh: In yet another trouble for former minister and senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, the Punjab Police is all set to launch a fresh probe into a February 2020 inquiry report that claimed that the Majithia had links with Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and three other gangsters.

The year old report mentions that Bhagwanpuria was an aide of Majithia and some Akali leaders allegedly patronised him and Jagtar Singh alias Boxer, Abhijit Singh alias Ankur Lekhari and Sonu Kangla.

Mentioning Majithia’s name the report states that sources suggest in unequivocal terms that Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, who was a street offender, became a notorious gangster after 2010 when Majithia became all powerful as (then Deputy CM) Sukhbir Singh Badal took charge of the Home Department.

Akali Dal, however, rejected the allegations and said that Congress is playing a dirty game ahead of polls and these all cases are political motivated to gain mileage in the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls.
