Ghana man swallows 1,300 grams of cocaine capsules worth Rs 13 Crores, held at Mumbai airport

Mumbai: The Mumbai customs department has arrested a Ghanaian passenger trying to smuggle cocaine into India at the international airport here. He had kept the drug hidden in his stomach in the form of 87 capsules.

The customs department said that the value of 1300 grams of cocaine recovered from the passenger is Rs 13 crore.

The incident took place on August 28, when the passenger was stopped at the Mumbai International Airport for being suspicious and taken to a government hospital, where he removed the capsules from his body in three days.
