Government issues warning as corona cases rise in Mumbai, masks mandatory in hospitals

Mumbai: New cases of corona in Mumbai have started increasing again for the last few days. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also issued a warning for the common people. The BMC has taken several important decisions in the meeting held on Monday.

These include making masks mandatory for the elderly, requesting them to follow the rules issued regarding Corona.

In the last one week, a total of more than 1500 cases have been reported in Mumbai. 102 patients are admitted in different hospitals of Mumbai. Of these, 35 patients are on oxygen support. It has been decided in the BMC meeting that wearing masks will be mandatory in all BMC hospitals.

Amid the rising cases of Corona, BMC will increase corona testing in Mumbai in the coming days. Whether oxygen plants are working in all hospitals, whether there is proper supply or not, will also be audited.

The stock of medicines with gloves, masks, PPE kits in BMC hospitals will be reviewed, if needed, they will be procured immediately. Also, ward war rooms will be fully activated.

It has an important role in preventing corona. Apart from this, corona test will be done on patients admitted for surgery in private and BMC hospitals.
