New Delhi: The Central government has approved a booster dose of Biological Es Corbevax vaccine for adults who have received two doses of Covishield or Covaxin.
This is the first time in the country that any vaccine other than the one administered as the first and second dose will be administered as a booster dose.
The Union Health Ministry has given this approval based on the recommendations of the National Technical Advisory Group on Vaccination.
Officials said that all the necessary arrangements to administer Corbevax vaccination dosage are being made through the Co-WIN interface.
