Chandigarh: Three years ago, former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh had released a special grant of Rs 1 crore from the small savings scheme for the beautification and development of the historic Saragarhi memorial, which is still unused in the state exchequer.
After announcing the grant on September 2018, Congress government released funds in 2019,however, due to lackadaisical attitude of the ruling governments, till now the amount is still lying unused in the government treasury due to operational hurdles.
