Secunderabad: A massive fire at historic Secunderabad Club caused damages worth crores including destroying the 144-year-old edifice completely.
As per the officials club was closed on Saturday on the occasion of Sankranti festival. The fire accident may have occurred due to short circuit.
The fire blazes engulfed historical material of around Rs 20 crore. The fire was noticed by a patrolling team about 3.15 am and alerted the Fire Department.
As many as seven fire engines rushed to the spot and flames were extinguished after three hours of efforts, said officials.
