Toronto: After several weeks of closure, services related to the intensive care unit have been resorted at the hospital located in the east of Toronto.
At the end of July, the ICU services at Bowmanville Hospital were temporarily shut down by Lakeridge Health due to a shortage of staff at Ajax Pickering and Oshawa hospitals.
ICU services are also being resumed in this hospital from today along with starting some important nursing services in mid-August.
Last month, Lakeridge Health said there was no damage to the entire network of critical care bed capacity during the shutdown of these services.
According to information provided by the hospital, emergency room services were continued while the ICU was closed.
