New Delhi: India won the last match of the three-match ODI series against West Indies and clinched the series 3-0.
In this match played at Queen’s Park Oval on Wednesday, India won a huge 119-run victory through the Duckworth-Lewis method. With this victory, India made it a clean sweep (3-0) of the West Indies in the three-match ODI series.
This is the first time in the history of ODI cricket that India has made a clean sweep of the West Indies team on Caribbean soil. Captain Shikhar Dhawan, who is leading the Indian team after this historic series win, looked very happy.
Dhawan said, “Our boys are young but they played with maturity. They managed very well. The whole team did well, which is the most important.” On his batting, Dhawan said, “I am happy with my form. I know how a half-century is converted into a century.
