Indian cricketer Arshdeep Singh called ‘Khalistani’ on Pakistani Twitter accounts

New Delhi: Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh’s reputation is being tarnished on social media after he dropped catch of batsman Asif Ali in the match against Pakistan during the Super-4 stage of the Asia Cup in Dubai.

Arshdeep Singh was called a Khalistani on Twitter accounts from Pakistan and his Wikipedia page was described him as Khalistani.

Meanwhile, in some tweets on social media supporting Arshdeep, it was said that now Khalistani propaganda is being spread from Pakistan and Arshdeep Singh is being called a Khalistani. On the other hand, the Punjab government is in favour of Mohali-based cricketer Arshdeep.

Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has raised his voice in support of the cricketer and said,

“Victory or defeat is given in game. @arshdeepsinghh is upcoming star who carved out niche in short span. Performed excellent against Pakistan. Regressive psyche to troll him on drop of just a catch. Arshdeep is future of Nation. Inspiration for youth. Hate has no place in sports.”
