Earlier, the Indian team could not register any victory in all three of its matches in Pool-B. The Indian team’s two matches were drawn, while the rest of the match team lost.
In the cross-over match against Spain, the Indian team showed a strong game in the beginning. The two teams saw a three-quarter equaliser. But in the fourth quarter, Spain’s attacks intensified.
The Spanish forwards were constantly piercing the Indian defence line, though these attacks were not converting into goals. With 3 minutes of play left in the match, the Indian defence collapsed and Spain scored a goal. The goal proved decisive and India lost 1-0.
