New Delhi: Indian travellers to UK who are fully vaccinated will not be quarantined, the new rule will come active from Monday, October 11.
Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India said, “No quarantine for Indian travellers to UK fully vaccinated with Covishield or another UK-approved vaccine from 11 October. Thanks to Indian government for close cooperation over last month.”
Last week, India government had made it mandatory for all British citizens arriving in India from Monday to face a 10-day quarantine irrespective of vaccination status.
The move came after the UK’s hugely controversial similar rules for residents of several countries including India.
The UK was not recognising India covid vaccines despite many appeals by the India authorities in recent times.
