Washington: In a shocking incident, a couple and their six-year-old daughter was shot dead while camping in the US state of Iowa, police have said.
According to the police, bodies of deceased Sarah and Tyler Schmidt, both 42, and their daughter Lula have been found in their tent in the Maquoketa Caves State Park.
Police said that couple’s 9-year-old son survived the attack.
Police suspect that accused shooter is a 23-year-old man, then turned the gun on himself. His body was also found in the park.
The cause of this crime is yet to be ascertained by the police and they said that investigation into the incident is underway.
