Ahmedabad: Isudan Gadhvi will be the Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate in Gujarat. The announcement was made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
He said that this decision has been taken on the basis of public opinion. AAP’s state unit president Gopal Italia, national general secretary Isudan Gadhvi and general secretary Manoj Sorathiya are in the race for the key posts.
According to Kejriwal, the AAP has chosen Isudan’s name after conducting an opinion poll from around 16.5 lakh people. In which 73 percent of the people described him as the first choice as chief minister. On October 29, Kejriwal had appealed to the people to contact the party through SMS, WhatsApp, voice mail and e-mail to know who should be the party’s chief ministerial candidate in the state.
