Italian PM’s friend among three killed in shooting incident at Italy’s capital Rome

New Delhi: A case of indiscriminate firing has come to light in Rome, the capital of Italy. In this firing, three people, including a friend of the country’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, have been killed.

According to the information, the assailant attacked when a meeting of people living in an apartment was going on. He reached there and started firing indiscriminately. The incident took place in Fidin district of the city.

Three people have lost their lives, including a friend of the PM.

Giorgia Meloni’s friend’s name was Nikolata Golisano. After this tragic incident, the PM herself wrote an emotional message by sharing a photo of Golisano.

“For me, she will always be so beautiful and happy,” PM wrote adding that the shooting range from which the suspect had taken the gun used in the attack had been closed. Meloni said the incident was being investigated by authorities and suspect has been detained.
