Jagrup Brar among 4 Punjabi ministers in Government of British Columbia

Ottawa: Punjabi-origin Jagrup Brar, leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP), has been inducted as a minister in the NDP government of British Columbia (BC) in Canada.

British Columbia’s new cabinet was sworn in at victoria’s official house. Brar was born in village Deon in Bathinda. Apart from him, Harry Bains, Rachna Singh and Ravi Kahlon have also been made ministers. Nikki Sharma, who is of Punjabi origin, has been appointed as the Attorney General of the BC government.
