Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of World Cup, replacement to be announced soon

New Delhi: Team India has suffered a big setback before the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Star fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has been out of the T20 World Cup. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed this. The BCCI medical team has made it clear that Jasprit Bumrah is not fit to play the World Cup. The BCCI will soon send the name of Bumrah’s replacement to the ICC.

“The medical team has informed that Jasprit Bumrah is not fit for the ICC T20 World Cup. Experts were consulted about Bumrah’s fitness. Bumrah was earlier ruled out of the three-match T20 series against South Africa due to back pain. But now the BCCI will soon announce Bumrah’s replacement for the World Cup.

A few days ago, it was revealed that Jaspreet Bumrah’s injury is serious and he will not be able to be part of the World Cup. But BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said that Bumrah’s fitness is being monitored and he can play the World Cup.

But now it has become clear that Team India will have to go on the field without its number one bowler in the World Cup.

Talking about Bumrah’s replacement, Mohammed Shami, who is included in the list of reserve players, can replace him in the team. Mohammed Shami is likely to leave for Australia on October 6.

Apart from this, three additional fast bowlers will also go to Australia for the training of the team. Kuldeep Sen, Mukesh Chaudhary and Chetan Sakariya will leave for Australia for Team India’s training session on October 6.
