Mahatma Gandhi’s statue vandalised in US: Second incident in 2 weeks

Washington: A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was vandalised by miscreants in New York, US. The statue was installed outside a Hindu temple in Queen’s County. The police officer said that six people have carried out this incident. This is the second incident of vandalism in the last two weeks.

Earlier on August 3, some people had demolished the same statue.

6 unidentified persons carried out the incident

Police said, “The incident took place near Sri Tulsi Temple on South Richmond Hill. Around 6 unidentified people came at 1:30 am. They vandalised the life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed here.”

Unidentified people also wrote Grandpie and Dog on the road outside the temple. After this, miscreants sat in the car and ran away.
